Session Title: Wisconsin Refresher

This seminar will focus on topics to meet the continuing education requirements for Wisconsin PLS renewals.


Douglas R. Crane, Professional Land Surveyor (WI+MN)

Mr. Crane has been licensed in Wisconsin since 1979 and licensed in Minnesota since 2011. He has worked in the field of Land Surveying since 1975. He has worked in private practice for his entire career. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Mr. Crane designed and developed county map projections and coordinate systems, blue-booked the Burnett County, WI Geodetic Control Network for inclusion in the National Spartial Reference System, and performed over 30 years of surveys from major and minor subdivisions to design and construction projects. He has completed a number of Assessor’s Plats under 70.27 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Mr. Crane studied least squares adjustments under Paul Wolf at UW-Madison and has many years of experience in applying this powerful tool to all types of survey projects including verifying “Relative Positional Precision” for ALTA surveys and control surveys, combining GPS, traverse work and level work.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by the MSPS office at least 14 business days prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee, less a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than 14 days prior to the event. No-shows will be billed for any unpaid registration fees.
